Greater Renfrewshire & Inverclyde Local Action Group (GRI LAG) is responsible for awarding funding on behalf of the Scottish Government’s Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Programme across the rural areas of East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
Our Vision is:

Grants Available
The aim of the CLLD Fund is to deliver community-based activity to meet one or more of the Scottish Government and GRI LAG priorities. This funding is for projects that run until end of February 2025 at the latest. The LAG has been allocated circa £90,000 of additional REVENUE funding.
We are required to award all funding by the end of January 2025 and it needs to be spent and claimed by no later than 7th March 2025.
To be clear, no funds can be committed or spent prior to the signing of award letters. This gives projects approximately 5 weeks to run OR the purchase of individual items to be made, which advance the efficiency of organisations.
Therefore, there will be strict constraints around the type of expenditure we will allow.
We will not be funding:

- Staff costs.
- Projects involving contractors.
- Any project where we deem there to be a risk of it over running.
We will fund:
Small capital items up to £5,000 that can be considered within a revenue budget, as indicated below:

- Enhancements to land and building structures e.g. energy efficiency improvements, small renewables
- Enhancement to fixed plant & machinery
- Replacement of an existing sub asset in its entirety, e.g. replacement of faulty solar panel in solar panel array, replacement boilers etc
- Furniture, Fixtures and Fittings including floor coverings
- Bikes/electric bikes/accessories
- ICT, Hardware & Software and Telecommunications, ICT equipment relating to e-enablement or improve efficiency
- Single purchases/transactions
- Materials for community use
- Community/sports facilities e.g. specialist equipment
- Community garden materials, tools and equipment
- New equipment that will enhance the capacity of the organisation – PA systems, safety lighting etc
Revenue expenditure, excluding staff.

- Professional Fees
- Feasibility studies, market research and planning costs
- Perishable or consumable goods
- Project Set Up Costs
- Community re-use or recycle scheme
- Recycling or Waste reduction schemes
- Local biodiversity schemes e.g. native tree planting
- Community clean-up projects
One off or short programmes of events e.g.

- Community lunch events aimed at addressing social isolation and poverty
- Cultural events aimed at addressing climate change
Priorities for Funding
You may apply for funds for project-based activity and must demonstrate that it advances inclusion, equality and diversity. Your project must also align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Scottish National Performance Framework and one or more of Scottish Government’s current spending priorities which are;

- Eradicating child poverty
- Growing the economy
- Tackling the climate emergency
- Improving public services
Projects must also assist in the delivery of at least one GRI LAG priority:

- Encourage and support rural communities and villages
- Address climate change
- Increase and sustain local rural businesses, micro businesses and social enterprises
- Address inclusion, diversity and equality and rural poverty issues (including child poverty, food security and support for working families)
- Create specific opportunities for young people
- Foster partnership working
Eligible Applicants
Organisations and groups eligible to apply include, but are not limited to; CICs, SCIOs, Development Trusts, Community Groups, Volunteer Groups and Social Enterprises and Businesses.

Funding Available

- You may apply for funding up to £5,000
- Applications must be for a minimum of £1,000
- You may apply for up to 100% of costs but projects with match funding are encouraged (match funding must be awarded before the project starts)
