Greater Renfrewshire & Inverclyde Local Action Group (GRI LAG) is responsible for awarding funding on behalf of the Scottish Government’s Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Programme across the rural areas of East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
Our Vision is:

Grants Available
CLLD Fund Revenue Grant Scheme
Revenue funding has been confirmed to support a range of CLLD activity in 2024/25. GRI LAG has around £25K from tranche 1 to allocate via a small grant scheme which is now accepting funding applications between £5,000 – £10,000 for projects that can help address at least one of the Scottish Government priorities.
A second tranche of revenue funding is expected later in the year.
*Revenue expenses are typically operating costs such as wages or costs for consultation/studies conducted as preparatory work. Please refer to applicant guidance.
CLLD Fund Capital Grants Scheme
Capital funding has been confirmed to support a range of CLLD activity in 2024/25.
GRI LAG has around £65K to allocate via a Capital Grants Scheme for applications between £10,000 – £25,000 for projects which can help address at least one of the current Scottish Government priorities.
*Capital expenses are typically fixed assets such as equipment or small-scale building works out with the capitalisation thresholds. Please refer to applicant guidance.

Projects must also assist in the delivery of at least one GRI LAG priority:
- Encourage and support rural communities and villages
- Address climate change
- Increase and sustain local rural businesses, micro businesses and social enterprises
- Address inclusion, diversity and equality and rural poverty issues (including child poverty, food security and support for working families)
- Create specific opportunities for young people
- Foster partnership working
Applicants must engage with GRI LAG before applying and submit an Expression of Interest Form. Applications will not be considered from those who do not commit to this initial step.
